A member asked:

Is it dangerous if i swallowed a lot of mouthwash?

How much is a lot?: As paracelsus once stated, "the poison is in the dose". All substances have a threshold dosage that, when exceeded, will cause toxicity. This would apply for mouthwash as well. So, mouthwash should not be consumed, but should be expectorated. If functional control of swallowing is impaired due to neurological, structural, or neuromuscular disease, mouthwash should not be used.

A lot?: How did you do that.? If it is any regular over the counter mouthwash most of them have alcohol in them. There should not be a major danger associated with it but depends on what you define as " a lot"!
