Is it alright to drink small amounts (i.e. 2-3 glasses of wine) after kidney removal surgery?

Yes: But i would be cautious about drinking that much on a daily basis for other reasons, especially if you are a woman. Your liver takes a hit every time you drink, and also alcohol is a high calorie source with no nutritional value. I would drink no more than one glass of wine daily if you are a woman, two if you are a man, to get the cardiovascular benefit of red wine but avoid the risks.
