Not really: Moderate wine, alcohol consumption does not help an ulcer condition but it does not cause it either... Alcohol in heavy chronic use may cause multiple digestive problems including gastritis, reflux and liver problems but other factors will need to co-exist to create an ulcer. For example the helicobacter pylori bacterium in the stomach lining, or use of non-steroidal ani-inflammatories or aspirin.
