Second opinion: I suggest you have a second opinion, and have a thorough re-evaluation. Many things can be uncovered that may help you over-come this problem. If it was an arthroscopy (cartilage, meniscus, ligaments etc) see a sports medicine orthopedist, if it was joint replacement, see an arthroplasty orthopedist, and if it was a fracture - see a knee traumatologist.
