Wait for results: Your doctor gave you antibiotics to cover the most likely offending organisms. If the culture highlights somethign out of the norm or resistanat to the penicillin, then he may switch you to something else. Be patient.

Not ripened: Area if hard still use warm pack and will soften. Apply neosporin oint twice daily if still painful will need oral antibiotic.
