What is the cause of broken heart syndrome? is it a serious condition or life threatening

Stress: While it is not known for sure, there is speculation about the effects of a sudden surge of stimulants in blood such as adrenaline and nor-adrenalin, leading to dysfunction of part of the heart muscle (specifically, part of the left ventricle actually). This condition is usually reversible, we do use beta blockers most often to slow down the heart and lessen the presumed effect of the stimulants.

Broken heart : Broken heart syndrome is a temporary heart condition brought on by stressful situations, such as the death of a loved one. People with it may have sudden chest pain or think they're having a heart attack. But unlike a heart attack, there's no blood clot in any heart artery. Part of the heart temporarily enlarges and doesn't pump well. With rest and temporary heart meds, recovery in 1-2 months.
