Possible: You have not mentioned your age. Osteoarthritis of fingers and hand is very common in individuals more than 50 years of age. In younger individuals inflammatory or trauma related causes are more common. Please see your pcp.

Too much inflammatio: Something is creating the pain, but since you are young i would give it a couple of days without the activity that inflicts the discomfort and if it doesn't improve, see a doctor.

Pop away: There is no evidence to suggest that popping the knuckles causes arthritis later in life. Yes, the pain in your joint could indeed be from arthritis. It is unlikely that cracking your knuckles is to blame.
