A member asked:

Can you take imitrex (sumatriptan) everyday if it is needed?

Should not: The main problem with taking anything everyday as a treatment for a migraine is that it can cause rebound headaches. This is even true of triptans, but to a lesser degree. If you are having migraines everyday you need to be on a prophylactic medicine. A medicine to prevent migraines. You may have to go through a period of increased headaches as you stop that daily treatment. I get them too!

Not recommended: Daily use of Imitrex (sumatriptan) can lead to rebound headaches therefore worsening the problem.
