Indirectly, perhaps: If diabetic's blood sugars are not well controlled, the excess glucose may allow bacteria/viruses to thrive more easily in the sinuses. Keep sugar under control; flush nasal passages/sinuses with saline spray to wash out germs (neti pot works well, too; just remember to use boiled or distilled water). Wash hands frequently, especially if around others with infections.
