Laser, injections: Cortisone shots can help but will not remove it. Lasers can be used, either the carbon dioxide or erbium to flatten acne keloidalis . This will result in a denuded area which will require a healing time of about one week.

Acne keloidalis: Unfortunately there is not one treatment that works well for every patient with this condition. There are some things to try: 1) dont shave the area too closely and avoid clothing that rubs or irritates the area 2) consider laser hair removal in the area to get rid of the inciting factor--the hair follicle. 3) topical or intralesional steroids administered by your doc may help 4) surgical removal.
