There is a gland in the vaginal area where some people are known to get cyst in. i can recall the name of the gald or the cyst. its responsible i guess for lubricating the vaginal area i think? but if a cyst is on it can it cause vaginal dryness?

No: The gland is called the Bartholin's gland and plays a role in lubrication. A cyst forms when the gland duct is blocked. No, a cycst does not cause vaginal dryness. The primary source of lubrication is the vagina itself.
