Baby Things!: This term often refers to baby clothing, baby care items, and infant bedding. Most often the term refers to a gift of like items put together in a decorative package. This can be a personal collection or a package rendered by marketing personnel. In other words, you can put anything you want to honor the newborn and the care needed in the first few months of life.

Different definition: Check on line at different baby sites... Usually receiving blankets for swaddling, and crib sheets. Baby clothing such as onesies, sleepers, and socks/mittens. Often the hospital will provide some items for you take home such as a bulb for nasal suction or a thermometer. A layette may also include items for bathing, changing diapers, and breast feeding.
