Blows out nose: When you sneeze you expel air from nose and mouth. When the nose is irritated, it causes you to sneeze, to expel the culprit. This could be pollen, pollution, or a doctor trying to examine your nose.

Expelling irritants: Sneezing is a reaction that removes irritants from the nasal cavity. How congested you are at the time can affect how much is expelled from your nose. The inhalation prior to sneezing can bring irritants through the oral nasal passage and subsequently be expelled out the mouth.
