Bilirubin at 1.4. i am a runner , and also recently prescribed mobic (meloxicam) . can either play a role and is that number real reason for concern?

Probably not: If you are running enough to break down red cells that could raise your bilirubin. Mobic (meloxicam) would more likely effect the kidneys. If your liver enzymes are normal and there is no mention of broken blood vessels on your blood count, this is likely a benign elevation. There is a condition known as gilbert's syndrome which is simply an isolated elevated bilirubin. A small percentage of males have it.

Likely normal: This may be your normal. Physical activity can raise bilirubin. If it goes above 2.0 mg/dL you should see a doctor.
