Depends on the situa: Many external rashes represent reactions to detergents, fabric softeners, lotions, foods, etc. These have no real effect to a baby you are carrying.A rash that is part of a viral illness, like measles or fifth disease could effect baby.The true answer then lies with what caused your rash. Your pcp should be able to help you with that.

Sounds like PUPPS: Pupps is a fairly common pregnancy rash. It causes extensive itching and a red rash starting on the abdomen and spreading outward. It may drive you crazy but it is generally harmless. It resolves soon after delivery. Ask your doc if it can be pupps.
