I have pain in the lower back area that goes out to the sides diagonally but does not continue down the back of the legs. when i get up in the mornings, i can hardly stand up straight. it generally will send twinges all day long.?

Doctor can evaluate: Lower back pain can be due to many things. For young, active people, it is more likely due to strains and sprains. For older folks, there can be vertebral fractures, herniated discs, spinal stenosis and other compressions or irritations of the nerves coming out of the spine. Problems in the back part of the abdomen can also cause back pain, such as kidney disease, some cancers, etc...
