Avoid OTC sources: First, check with your doctor to see what your testosterone levels actually are. If low, your doctor can provide the hormone in several different forms. It's important not to go overboard. Too much testosterone has significant side effects.

Get evaluation first: It's very important to know what your level is before treatment. Try to find out the cause if your level is low. If testosterone is already normal, there is no need for replacement.
