However , avoidance of smoking, alcohol, caffeine will help lower the levels of stomach acid. H. Pylori: H. Pylori affects 1/2 of world population. Acquired by food or water containing fecal matter. Treatment usually with two antibiotics + ulcer medication for 7-14 days. This depends upon specific medications used, good high fiber , low fat diet recommrnded . If an ulcer is identified limited coffee, tea& alcohol. Also avoid foods which cause discomfort. See your doctor.
