Check for pregnancy: The first concern is if you could be pregnant. If your home pregnancy test is positive, a doctor evaluation is needed. If not, then could you have an infection? If not an infection, it also could be cramps associated with your period - but many other possibilities exist (for example, a cyst on your ovaries). Your gynecologist can help you if the cramps persist.
