Depends on Where : Group b beta hemolytic streptococcus can be found normaly in your intestinal track and as such would be considered normal flora. If it were found in your bladder it would be considered an infection. If found in your child after delivery it would also be an infection and can be dangerous at imes.

Yes: It is a colonization, meaning it has adapted to your body. It can not cause you prob cuz you have adapted to it, but it can cause prob for your baby, so you should be treated in labor to protect your baby.
