Great info site 4 U: It is very difficult to tell you in good details in this limitted space, so i would advise you to get on the www.Diabetes.Org website for an amazing amount of information on diabetes. It is quite easy to navigate the site and the info is very easy to understand--it even has other language as well. See doc/nurses regularly. Good luck.

Moderation: Try avoid conc sweets/alcohol. A blood sugar spike might be followed by a significant low whether on medication or not. Be very aware of how your body responds to certain foods and do what you can to avoid the consequences (ie pasta/pizza) also, if there are other co-issues, like high BP or kidney disease, salt and other restrictions may exist. Please discuss with your doctor & diabetes educator.
