A member asked:

Can food effect pancreaitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes it can: Every time you eat, your pancreas needs to work/secrete enzymes to digest the food. During acute pacreatitis attack, the gland is inflammed, swollen, and can cause severe pain. If you eat during the attack, the pancreas still try to work and will cause you more pain and may slow down healing. Same as when you sprain your ankle, walking on it hurts more. Follow your doc advice. Good luck.
