4 stages: Stage 1: tumor <5cm limited to the adrenal gland. Stage 2: tumor >5 CM limited to the adrenal gland. Stage 3: tumor of any size limited to the adrenal but with positive lymph node or tumor present in peri-adrenal fat but with negative lymph nodes. Stage 4: tumor in periadrenal fat with positive nodes or tumor invading adjacent organs or with distant metastatic disease.

I-IV: Stage i: tumor < 5 cm size, no spread to lymph nodes. Stage ii: tumor > 5 cm size, no spread to lymph nodes. Stage iii: spread to lymph nodes, or adrenal tumor shows local invasion without lymph node spread. Stage iv: spread to other parts of the body, or local invasion with or without lymph node spread.
