Re-check with doctor: Serenoa repens (permixon) has been used for the treatment of men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (bph). The drug contains an extract of the dwarf american palm known as serenoa repens. As time goes by, a man's prostate changes, and changes can happen even while on treatment. A urologist can re-evaluate to see if a new medicine or other treatment can help, since symptoms are not going away.
