Tendon or kneecap: Either the patella is rubbing over the cartilage and snapping into place or more likely one of the tendons is snapping over an edge of bone when it tightens. This doesn't usually cause problems. Check with your doctor if you have pain.

Nothing: As to my knowledge, popping with bending of the knee joints are caused by vacuum pockets which are benign.
