Lipomatosis not cyst: Without an exam it is impossible to state accurately, but your description sounds like lipomatosis, which is numerous benign fatty tumors (not cancer) in normal fatty areas of your body. If they enlarge or become painful, surgical excision is appropriate. They do not "spread" but are seemingly genetic in origin, and can occur in areas of minor trauma or injury (arms, belt area, etc.). See a p surg.
