Drug side effects: Clarithromycin can cause gastrointestinal side effects like stomach ache, bloating, gas, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. These symptoms usually go away after you stop taking the medicine. Also, a yeast infection can follow use of antibiotics. The latter can be helped by taking probiotics.
