Stye: Warm compresses are usually the best home treatment. If it becomes very painful see your doctor he may need to do surgery on it and give you antibiotic eye drops. Do not try to pop it on your own.

Hot packs: Fill a clean cotton sock with dried beans, then heat in microwave for about two minutes. Place this on your stye for ten minutes, twice a day. If this doesn't help after about a week, see an ophthalmologist. By the way... Ointments and drops often prescribed for styes by your primary care doc don't do a thing.
