No: Jock itch is caused by a fungus which grows in areas that are warm and moist. The condition (called tinea cruris) is usually caused by the same fungus that causes athlete's foot and is commonly present on people's skin and feet and in the environment. People often get jock itch from the fungus that is already living on their own skin. It is not sexually transmitted.

Jock itch: This caused by yeast infection. Not transmissible to others. It oftens recurs as tinea loves a moist environment.
