A member asked:

What will keeping someone warm do to help treat shock?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not much: Not sure i understand the question, if somebody is truly in shock, they should be in an intensive care unit. Being cold actually seems to help more, as shown recently in cardiac arrest and other conditions; we induce hypothermia to help these patients. Unless you are referring to the mental type of shock, where anything goes - chicken soup?
