Newborns whose mothers used methamphetamine while pregnant are often hard to arouse, but once awakened, they could not be calmed easily. 20% of meth-exposed infants fall below the 10th percentile for weight. 1/3 experience feeding problems (due to a poor suck or swallow). Some have breathing problems.
