Varies a lot: How fast tumor grows, where it started, if spread to nodes/other places, treatments (chemo, surgery, radiation), cancer genetics, age at diagnosis, family history, lifestyle (quit smoking), positive attitude, a "treatment team, " good nutrition, strong social support, learning/asking questions, and participating in care & choices all make a big difference. There is no one answer to this question.
