A member asked:

How can i tell if my son is experiencing brain trauma if he just hit his head?

Brain, not head: Brain trauma is often silent, seemingly asymptomatic. Loss of consciousness, dizziness, headache, confusion, sleep disruption, mood disturbances are frequent symptoms of brain trauma, "tbi". However, in the absence of such symptoms, most head injuries are not brain injuries.

See below: Closely watch the child, make sure he is alert and playful. If you see any signs such as sleepiness, nausea, vomiting, intolerance to light, or see differences in the size of the pupils immediately go to the nearest er.
