Depends: Most come from a herniated disk in the low back and get better with time. Low impact aerobic exercise, over the counter or prescription medication, back exercises can help. For more severe pain, an injection can help. If all else fails and imaging like MRI confirm the cause, surgery can help. Seek attention if you have trouble emptying your bladder or have significant weakness or intolerable pain.

Depends: On what you have already done. Most sciatic pain is self limiting and will resolve with time. Anti-inflammatories and even oral steroids are helpful in acute cases. Physical therapy osteopathic manipulation and chiropractic care are 1st line conservative options. Injections could be useful if conservative treatment is not effective. Mris should not be done early on.

Pinched Nerve: Sounds like you have a pinched nerve in your back. I would suggest seeing a pain/spine specialist to evaluate you further to evaluate what level and what can be done to treat you. There are interventional treatments besides medications and surgeries that might reduce or eliminate the pain altogether.
