Yes: There are plenty of different preps. Some include citrate of magnesia and ducolax and others may include golytely (polyethylene glycol). Speak to your md. All will include liquid diet and lots of water.

Yes: While it's best to follow the bowel cleansing regimen prescribed, the end result to completely cleanse the colon so that clear liquid is coming out before do the barium enema.
