Can i have an anaesthetic when i have a filling?

Certainly: If you mean local anesthetic, like numbing of the tooth, this is commonly done so your dental treatment is very comfortable. If you mean general sedation, so you are asleep, this is not commonly done for a filling. It is possible to arrange it though. Talk to your dentist to determine the options that he/she offers.

Sure: Local anesthetic? I would highly recommend it. Sedation? I've sedated many people for procedures as minor as this. Assuming your medical history does not contraindicated it, this is an option as well.
