Are there side effects of getting pricked with an epi pen?

Epipen (epinephrine): If you were just pricked by the needle, there shouldn't be any side effects other than mild pain. However, if the contents of the Epipen (epinephrine) was injected, you may experience a transient rapid heartbeat and bounding pulses.
