What could cause me to cough up strange phlegm since throat surgery?

Tell your Surgeon: Post-op, you're gonna have some strange swelling and phlegm in your throat, and your surgeon will have told you about a lot of it. If you're having symptoms that you didn't get told about, then your surgeon needs to be told, to make sure you are healing and everything is alright. Call and let them know.
