Can a breathing tube from surgery two weeks ago cause a deep congested cough with yellow phlegm?

Upper Airway : A breathing tube can definitely be traumatic to the tissue leading to swelling or inflammation. Secondarily getting infection in this tissue is possible. If the phlegm is worsening or the cough is worse please contact your physician.
