A member asked:

Is it true that certain types of condoms more likely to cause a bladder infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: It has been theorized that latex condoms may in some instances produce irritation of the perineum which could lead to secondary bladder infection by producing a physiologic obstruction to urine outflow, but do not know of any study proving this.
