Patience...: Most mouth ulcers are a virus that will run its course. If you do nothing they usually go away in 14 days. If you try to put something on them, they may feel better and will go away in 2 weeks. If something lasts longer then by all means...Go see a dentist or md.

Time: Time is really the only effective treatment for a mouth ulcer. They usually go away in 7 to 10 days. Rinse your mouth several times a day with warm salt water, avoid acidic food and drink, don't apply anything to the ulcer. Your dentist might be able to treat it with a soft tissue laser or chemical cauterization.
