Genetics: Blame mom and dad on this one. Though sometimes, the tooth is normal size, but just may not be fully errupted, or may be covered by excess gum tisssue.

Mostly Genetics: In almost all cases it is genetically driven however there are some rare conditions that make teeth smaller. These conditions stunt the growth or development of parts of the tooth. If the teeth appear normal in shape and color than likely they are just small. If they are very discolored, odd shaped then may have a condition. Talk to your dentist if you are concerned.

Blame parents: Tooth size and bone size are genetically determined. There are at least 3 genes responsible for tooth size, let alone shape and position. If you have spaces between your teeth they can be closed non-surgically (see an Orthodontic Specialist about tooth movement) or surgically (see your Dentist about crowns/veneers/bonding/etc)

Body size=Tooth Size: Good day; Petite teeth find petite bodies! Long narrow teeth are found in tall thin people unless they overeat! In selecting artificial denture teeth you utilize a patients face size- square, oval or tapering to complement tooth selection.
