Question: You ask a very good question. Why don't you ask it of your doctor? You should ask what/why you are having tests and what will be learned from them. When your Doc makes a recommendation you should ask questions about them and understand. It's your body and your life.

Advice: Sometimes the best medicine is advice. Dietary modification is the first line of treatment for high cholesterol. It's important for you to take control of your health and not always rely on medications. Be healthy! You'll feel better.
