What can be done for a cervical cancer recurrence in the uterus?

If possible: Total pelvic organ removal (exenteration) is offered, which would require urinary and fecal drainage bags. Chemotherapy may cause response, improve survival, but is not curative by itself. If radiotherapy was not used with initial treatment, at can be used.

Cervical cancer: If an invasive cervical cancer recurs in the uterus after radiation, the choices are a radical hysterectomy versus a pelvic exenteration. You need to see a gyn oncologist.
