What are the different types of amnesia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I do not remember: Amnesia is a lose of memory. For some events such as trauma, infection, or emotional crisis there can be antegrade amnesia where memory before the event is lost. There can be retrograde amnesia where memory after the event is lost. Or both can occur. Agnosias may occur where just very select things may not be able to be remembered. Famous of these is prosopagnosia - unable to remember faces.
