Rarely: There is a rare but very specific type of epilepsy that is photo sensitive. In some just the flashing of light at a specific frequency can cause a seizure. In very rare cases a specific pattern will set off seizure activity. A type of baboon (papio-papio) has a genetic tendency for photosensitive epilepsy. They have been studied in detail. Coated glasses can help.
