There are also possible legal issues, depending on the state. It is possible that you could be prosecuted for rape, sex with a minor, serve jail time and be listed into a registry for the rest of your life as a sexual predator.

Question is?: Depending on your state, having sex with someone under 18 at your age is a crime. At 16, your "girlfriend" should be concentrating on school and her future. As a 22 year old, it truly isnt fair to put these expectations on a child.

Depends: In years gone by and various cultures this would not be considered much of a question.Many families started this way.Today, depending on the state, you may end up with a felony conviction for statutory rape. This is the process where you did it and it doesn't matter if she was willing.The state does not consider her old enough to make that decision.Get a lawyer.
