NSAIDs: Non-steroidal anti- inflammatories can be really helpful for menstrual cramps. Medications such as Ibuprofen advil, motrin, Aleve (naproxen) are in this category and work by decreasing prostaglandins which cause the cramps. They are really helpful when taken regularly during and before the bleeding starts. Give it a try.
