Shoes and inserts designed to do this are prescribed. Sometimes neuropathy can cause significant pain or discomfort in extremities. Medications or certain vitamins may be prescribed which may help in these instances. Consult with physicians.

Neuropathy can be due to certain vitamin deficiencies, nerve damage due to trauma, alcohol consumption, radiation, side effects of certain medications, or due to certain medical conditions such as diabetes. Treatment varies depending on the cause of the problem. Have it evaluated and appropriately treated.

FDA approved:: For the diabetic neuropathy, Lyrica (pregabalin) and cymbalta, and medical food metanx. Would be ok to use gabapentin, effexor, maybe tricyclic antidepressant family but not certified by fda.

It may also be treated by preventive care (nail trimming, inspections) orthotics, splinting, and supportive devices to prevent injury and falling.
