A member asked:

Stinky yellow fluid in belly button?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Clean better: Honestly, the most common reason i find for this is simply needing to clean more completely. I know that may sound mean. However, sometimes infections can occur especially in those whose umbillicus or belly button had for instance a skin fold creating a pocket that is more easily infected and/or much harder to keep clean. This may require antibiotics and even surgery to correct.
